This 8.5" x 14" page gives basic phonetics for the English alphabet with illustrations per sound and one-word examples of that sound. Additionally, other rules difficult for early readers to recall are graphically included so that "ph", for example, is also located under "P" with an illustration and the word "phone". Other rules include sounds of "ir, er, ur"; "y" at the end of a word sounding like "i" as in ice cream or "e" as in cherry; and "ci" sounding like "sh". Making it easy for readers to recall reading phonemes, this chart is helpful for ESL students too. Another product by Debra A. Boyle, M.Ed.
