This set of letter tiles can be used as a great alternative to magnetic letters! I created this product out of my need to have a full class set of magnetic letters. The document I created is formatted so that each tile is double-sided. One side has the lowercase letter, and can be flipped over to use the uppercase letter. I find the double-sided function of these letter tiles to be very functional when teaching my young learners about the uses of capital letters at the beginning of words. Each vowel features a line underneath it, to visually support students as they learn to distinguish consonants and vowels. I use these tiles with my students just as I'd use magnetic letters. My students enjoy making and building words with these tiles. I incorporate them into whole group and small group instruction phonics and high frequency spelling, as well as independent practice. A d'nealian font version of the tiles is also included in this product.
To increase the durability of these tiles print on card stock and laminate!
I hope you get as much use out of these alphabet tiles as I do!
