A-Z letters with pictures accordians. Help build phonemic awareness with these phonemic awareness letter accordians! Oftentimes, students have difficulty identifying beginning sounds and these accordians will definitely help. Beginning sounds are crucial for successful blending, decoding, and eventually reading! Identifying beginning sounds are the first steps in the reading process. They can be used for RTI activities to enrich or support letter and sound identification. These letter accordians can be used as an independent activity or even as part of your literacy centers. The students can use the accordians as a supplement when needing to recall letter and sounds of words that belong to each. By slink-ing the beginning sound pictures, students can have additional support which can be helpful in taking the first step that lead up to reading fluency. Included is the activity is the letter, word, and picture that begins with that sound, along with 4 pictures to attached to the accordian's primary picture that matches. You can run them on tag for better sturdiness for the students or they may be used and glued into an interactive notebook, and/or put them in a literacy center.
