This is a wonderful activity/tool to help students who are learning to recognize and write uppercase and lower case letters!
Students form letters by using the letter cards and foam piece cut-outs.
It is so easy:
1. Print the Letter Cards and Letter Making Template.
2. Cut out the Letter Making Template pieces.
3. Trace the pieces onto thin foam sheets and cut out.
Now students can build the letters on the Letter Cards!
This makes a great independent activity for Literacy Stations!
Includes pdf files for the Upper and Lowercase Letter Making Templates and the Upper and Lowercase Letter Making Cards (8.5 in x 11 in).
Note: In my sample photo I show how I use it: I put the sheets in page protectors in a binder with the uppercase letter on one side, and the lower case match on the other. If you choose to follow this format, I suggest using a paper color that matches the foam piece color (so that students are sure about which color pieces to use on which page). However, don't feel that this is the only way to set this activity up - do what you think is best! Maybe you prefer to only offer uppercase, or just one letter at a time...it's up to you! Enjoy.
