This is one of my favorite projects to do with a client that is getting ready to be discharged. I have actually kept every list of advice I've had each of my client's do, and I've pulled them out for new client's in similar situations (names are never used of course!).
I ask the client to go back and consider everything they've learned in the time they've been coming in for services. Then to use the list to create little blurbs they would tell other people in their situation or in any situations to help get by. Many of the ones I've gotten in response are funny, but meaningful for each individual client and situation. This is also a great activity to do when a client first comes into services, have them do it again before discharge, and have the client compare what they've written for both!
Hope it's useful! Again, it's pretty plain and simple, but for kiddo's that are easily distracted it tends to work better!
