Product Description
Alternate Interior & Corresponding Angles Proofs Lesson Materials (Notes CW HW):

These 6 student worksheets will help your students learn how to prove that corresponding angles are congruent and alternate interior angles are congruent when two parallel lines are cut by a transversal. These lesson materials include a 2-page set of guided notes, a 2-page classwork assignment, and a 2-page homework assignment, for a total of 6 student worksheets!

The guided notes include a vocabulary section, an example of the proof showing that alternate interior angles are congruent, and an example of the proof showing that corresponding angles are congruent.

The classwork assignment includes proofs where students have to fill in only the reasons, proofs where students have to fill in a mixture of statements and reasons, and proofs where students have to fill in the entire proof. There is a “challenge” question at the end of the worksheet that asks students to fill in the missing statements and reasons for a slightly different proof. All of the proofs are 4 steps long.

The homework assignment includes the same 2 types of proofs. It includes proofs where students have to fill in a mixture of statements and reasons and proofs where students have to fill in the entire proof. There is a “challenge” question at the end of the worksheet that asks students to fill in the missing statements and reasons for a slightly different proof. All of the proofs are 4 steps long, except for the challenge question.

These lesson materials come with 2 pages of guided notes, 4 pages of proofs practice (1 classwork assignment and 1 homework assignment), answer keys, and a PowerPoint file containing pictures of the guided notes, worksheets, and keys. The worksheets in the PowerPoint are NOT editable. When you purchase this set of lesson materials, you will receive a pdf containing the guided notes, worksheets and answer keys, and you will receive a PowerPoint file. Before purchasing this product, please review the preview file closely to make sure that these proofs are appropriate for your students.

Please Note: The classwork and homework worksheets included in this product are the exact same worksheets as the ones sold in my "practice worksheets" product. The difference between the two products is that the "lesson materials" come with guided notes. Choose to purchase either the "lesson materials" or the "practice worksheets," but do not purchase both.
