Included are 5 hands on science experiments: solar energy, geothermal energy(make a pinwheel spin with boiling water), wind energy(make a wind turbine), biomass/biofuels(use decayed matter like fruit to produce a gas in a water bottle and inflate a balloon), and hydroelectricity(make a water turbine). All 5 experiments have a student recording sheet to go with each lesson. The facilitation questions for each lab have an answer key included.
Also attached are vocabulary cards for all the alternative energy resources: biofuels, solar, wind, geothermal, and hydroelectric
I added a diagram of how each form of energy produces electricity. Underneath the diagram there is a paragraph for the students to read and then they will list advantages and disadvantages of that form of energy.
