Álvaro Ardilla has been preparing his nest for the winter, and the bills have arrived! He needs your students' help to pay the bills while he is out collecting acorns!
Practice addition, subtraction, place value, and writing numbers in word form as you help Álvaro interpret his bills and write checks to pay them! Three levels
allow you to choose which skills your students will practice. Two sets of bill cards
, 12 in EACH set, can be used with any of the three levels so you can work within 1,000 or within 1,000,000. Differentiation is easy!
: 100% Spanish, and suitable for dual language, dual immersion, bilingual, and native Spanish-speaking classrooms
How It Works:
A student chooses a bill and reads it to see what Alvaro bought, and how much each item cost. Then they add to find out how much he owes to that company. In level one, they just record the amount owed. In level two, they record the amount and write a check for that amount. In level three, they write the check and record it in the check register. Each level can use the bills that keep students working under 1,000, or the set of bills that works up to 25,000.
