Description
As Hebrew learners progress through the Alef-Bet, drawing attention to commonalities assists in identifying Hebrew vowels. This unit establishes a connection between the common visual appearances of the eh-sounding vowels: segol, chataf segol, and tsere.
Through targeted vowel practice, tic tac toe, and a coloring path maze, students will be able to connect that the segol, chataf segol, and tsere vowels have the following rules in common.
The word "always" has been added to the title because it does not include the sheva vowel, even though it adds an eh sound under the first letter of a word.
*These worksheets are recommended for supplemental Hebrew students. They do not include the vowels' grammatical Hebrew names. I've included a link to download a free Hebrew vowel chart, if that is your preference.
