Twenty-five reproducible 'flash' cards including words ending in 'am', 'an', and 'at', many with images of common household items, foods and animals.
Print and cut out the cards. Cards may be colored, laminated, or have magnets or hook and loop fasteners added for use on a board for classroom activities.
In this activity, children learn to read new words by associating text with images. They can find similarities in the sounds of the words and create sentences with proper syntax.
The students can color the pictures and glue the cards to paper as complete sentences adding their own punctuation at the end. The activity can be used to practice reading, displayed in class or taken home to read to their families. The cards could also be used in a literacy activity center.
Each card measures 2.5" x 3.75", making them compatible with other standard size playing cards and games.
