Description

Ama are remarkably brave women in Japan that dive to great depths in search of important resources and pearls. I remember reading about them when I was in third grade and I always remembered them so hopefully, they make an impact on your students too.

This short read is only 321 words. The summary is very short as well and that is by design. Ama may be an interesting women's history topic but they are not included in history curriculums. I needed this to be a short addition to convince you to include them in your world history or Asian history class.
