Amazing Animals! Find My Match!

Literacy Games and Printables Includes:

Two sets of animal cards A-Z (with and without labels), one set of uppercase letters, one set of lowercase letters. All of these cards can be made into necklaces, clips, or buttons for students to wear. Students will use phonemic awareness skills to identify upper and lower case letters and the beginning sounds of animals. Students will search around the classroom for their match. You can match upper and lowercase letters, letters with an animal card, or animal to animal card. You are able to use the different options to differentiate for your students.

There are multiple extension activities. For every letter of the alphabet, there is a circle map for students to draw and label animals/objects that begin with each letter. Students who are more able can write sentences with one or more of their words on the back.

Students will also be able to identify the way that animals move. They will classify animals by the way that they move. There are circle maps for students to complete for animals that fly, walk, swim, or slither. You can use the animal cards to sort into different ways that animals move.
