Teachers who use a multiple step approach to writing know how effective it can be. Through the processes of prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing, students are able to produce quality writing. These same teachers also know the difficulties that come along with it. Students work through the steps at different speeds, they have difficulty revising/editing their work, and someone always seems to lose some of their papers. While this product isn't a guaranteed fix for all of these difficulties, it does provide the organization that many students need.
This product contains resources and directions to make your own four pocket writing folders. These folders help students organize their papers as they work through all of the steps of the writing process. They also contain resources that students can use as they write. I have used these folders in grades 1-4, and they have made writing more manageable and less stressful (for both the students and myself).
