Students are given the following definitions:

The word environment encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial.

An apex predator, also known as an alpha predator or top predator, is a predator at the top of a food chain, with no natural predators

The Amazon rainforest, covering much of northwestern Brazil and extending into Colombia, Peru and other South American countries, is the world’s largest tropical rainforest, famed for its biodiversity. It’s crisscrossed by thousands of rivers, including the powerful Amazon.

They are then asked a series of questions which will help them write a summary on thee Amazon
