Use this activity to help students discover what America was like before the arrival of Europeans in the 1400s. This activity is particularly great for helping students understand the complexity and diversity of Native American groups before exploration and colonization.
Product comes with group readings for six groups and a class chart for students to add to during the Jigsaw learning portion of the activity.
This works as a Jigsaw activity, but this activity is flexible and can meet any class's needs. For instance, you might choose to have individuals read the excerpts and report to groups of 6. You might choose to have six small groups report back to the entire class. You will have a whole class engaged in discussing the Pre-Columbian native civilizations.
