This 8 page activity package (A New America Emerges) focuses on key development during the 1990s and 2000s. A variety of primary and secondary sources are used. This resource is tested on my own students and it worked extremely well. Many diverse activities included.

Here's a breakdown:
Activity One: Students evaluate the transition from the Cold War to the new millennium.
Activity Two: The First Gulf War is investigated using a free online textbook.
Activity Three: Bill Clinton. Students watch a 30 minute documentary on the Clinton and determine how he should be remembered.
Activity Four: 911. Students navigate through an excellent online interactive timeline on the events of 911.
Activity Five: 911 Survivors. Students watch a documentary that profiles/interviews survivors of 911.
Activity Six: Obama. Students evaluate why the election of Obama was such significant development in American History.
Activity Seven: A comical video clip is watched that helps students evaluate the expectations and legacy of Obama.
