Product Description
The following is a 3 part assignment for students to complete regarding the changes within America in the early 1900's as a result of industrialization and new innovations. This assignment is set up to be done individually BUT can easily be turned into a small group activity with some preparation work to be done individually prior to class.
Step 1 asks students to research Muckrakers view of the factories and working conditions and then view a small portion of Fritz Lang's Metropolis (via You Tube or outside source provided individually or by teacher).
Step 2 asks students to ponder a statement then take notes on 4 key questions based off the first statement. This part can be turned into a small group discussion if need be or wanted.
Step 3 asks students to use what they have learned in Steps 1 and 2 as well as other previously learned knowledge to generate a 1 page essay to be turned into the teacher as a final product.
