Once downloaded, each of these maps from the set “American Civil War” can be printed and copied for students, made into transparencies and projected onto screens, converted into images for Smart Boards, and so on.
These maps can act as visual cues that will help students form mental links for understanding and for remembering related historical concepts. They are excellent resources when used to supplement reading about the event. They can also be used to prompt writing. Great for teaching history in public schools, private schools or home schools, they are as versatile as a your imagination.
This set includes a title page, a general key, a clarification of copyright permissions granted, and maps for each of the five events listed:
-The Underground Railway
-Confederate Attack at Shiloh
-The Battle of Antietam
-The Battle of Gettysburg
-The American Civil War
There are two maps for each of these events:
1- A "Geo" version without event markings. This can be used copied and/or with a Smart Board or similar technology to mark up with notes, symbols, arrows and other illustrations while teaching.
2- An "Event" version can be used for teaching notes, or alone for instruction without the “Geo” version.
This set is part of a larger collection of United States History Maps that are available at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Todd-Furse for any history teacher.
