I often times find websites, current news articles, and PDF’s online to create questions for my students to answer as they read along to the information. When students are done answering questions we often use them as a guide for classroom discussion. These resources often provide great supplemental resources to our current area of study.
Topics in this assignment cover all aspects of proper etiquette with handling the American Flag.
With this web quest the questions go in order as the students see it online. There is a combination of easy to fill in the blank questions along with short answer. This is great for both students with learning disabilities or students who struggle with reading and comprehension and students requiring a challenge.
There are two ways you can give this assignment to students.
* Have the students use technology and go directly to the PDF document.
* Print off PDF and attach it to the questions. (which may be a great idea with students with learning disabilities).
If you do not want to have your students type in the entire web address in their directions you can simply tell them to go to a search engine (Google) and type in “guideline for display of the flag” and it should be the first link.
