My daughter just started reading the American Girl historical fiction books. In fact, she is on Book Two-Felicity Learns a Lesson now. This series of books includes easy to read, enjoyable books. I decided to create lapbooks for her to go along with her reading.
I have used many lapbook products and wanted to create one that kind of fixed some of the issues we have with lapbooks.
First, I wanted the questions printed right on the lapbook piece.
Next, I wanted a picture on the cover of each piece that she could color.
Finally, I wanted it to do more than just be "something to do." I wanted her to analyze the book and the characters' actions based on God's Word - which I'm trying to guide her to do with her own actions and decisions.
Here it is. A very simple lapbook with comprehension questions for every chapter printed right on the lapbook piece. Also included is a lapbook piece that asks thought provoking questions such as, "Whose kingdom do we live under? Explain." "Whose authority are you under?" "Who has the ultimate authority over everyone?" (based on parts of chapter 1)
Thanks and hope you enjoy our version of the American Girl Felicity Learns a Lesson lapbook. We'll get started on Book 3 shortly. Be sure to check out my unit for the book, Meet Felicity (book 1).
For His glory,
