This document includes 2 sets of four paragraphs. One set is written on a second grade level and the other set is written on a higher level for differentiation. The paragraph discuss the works of Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Abraham Lincoln and Ruby Bridges. Students will read the paragraphs, cut them out, and put them in the order in which they happened in history. They will then have to decide how each event helped to cause the next. This activity is great for connecting literacy with social studies. It is very effective for getting students to think critically about what they are reading. Perfect for 1st through 3rd grade.
