Description

If you teach U.S. History and are looking for a way to get your students active in the beginning of the year then this might be just what you're looking for! This digital timeline activity uses Google Slides and will allow you to have this available for students you are teaching in-person or virtually. What I enjoy about using this activity is that I can gauge my students' background knowledge in history and how they go about solving a problem.

Included Topics:

9/11 Attacks on the World Trade Center, Alexander Graham Bell Invents the Telephone, Apple is Founded, Approval of the Declaration of Independence, Battle of the Alamo, California Gold Rush, End of the French and Indian War, Fort Sumter Attacked – Civil War Begins, Jamestown Founded and Led by Captain John Smith, Japanese Attack Pearl Harbor, John Brown Raids Harper’s Ferry, Lewis and Clark Explore the West, Lindbergh Baby Kidnapped, Little Rock Nine Escorted to Class, Neil Armstrong Walks on the Moon, President Jackson Authorizes Indian Removal Act, President Kennedy Assassinated, President Lincoln Assassination, Space Shuttle Challenger Explodes, Spanish American War Begins, Stock Market Crashes on “Black Tuesday,” The Salem Witch Trials, Treaty of Paris - End of Revolutionary War, USA Enters WWI, USA Pulls out of Vietnam War, Washington Sworn in as 1st President, Wright Brothers First Flight
