The following is a Project-Based Learning assignment for American Imperialism designed using content standards for teaching American History and American Imperialism.
Students are assigned the task of developing a project (from a provided list of 11 choices) to display their knowledge and understanding of American Imperialism.
This assignment is a student centered project in which the teacher is second to the student. The teachers role in this assignment is to set guidelines, give feedback, and provide resources for the students to use to research, create, and develop their project.
The resources I chose to provide are in the form of Primary Sources which I got (when I took a graduate class) from the following website in which is FREE:
Students textbook is a valuable resource for this project and forces the students to read their textbook as well as other sources to deveop and complete this assignment.
A small grading rubric is provided with this assignment.
