This interactive notebook contains all the information Virginia Studies 4th and 5th grade students need to know for the American Indians unit NOW UPDATED for the revised VA Studies standards for the 2016-17 school year. Help make your life and the lives of your students easier by constructing this interactive notebook with your students to help them organize the information from Virginia SOLs VS.2d, VS.2e, VS.2f, and VS.2g. There are teaching suggestions and pictures of each constructed page included in the document.
This notebook includes 6 pages, tailored specifically to the information needed for the SOLs. Construct the notebook as an anchor activity as you move through the unit. Tailor it to your students' needs by using the different versions of each page, which require more or less writing. Once the notebook is constructed, students and parents can reference back to the notebook to study for class assessments, complete creative projects or PBLs, and study for the SOL tests at the end of the year. The notebook will also help you to model organizational skills for students without the hassle of loose papers that get mixed up or fall out of binders.
