Looking for resources about American popular music? What about for students to be able to comprehend how music reflects the times? This set will introduce your students to the music that was popular each decade from the 1920's-1950’s. You will receive a slide presentation (in pdf form), worksheets, exit tickets, listening glyphs, graphic organizers and a workstation sign for each of the four decades. YouTube links (via the Safe Share site for commercial free viewing) are included so your students can listen (and sometimes actually watch) the performer who made a song popular. You can use this as a large group lesson or split your students into groups to learn about different decades via workstations. Save over 15% by purchasing this bundle (rather than purchasing each set individually)! Click on the links below to see what is offered for each decade included in this bundled set. Additional decades will be forth coming (1970's, 1980's, 1990's and 2000's) and eventually there will be another bundled set (pt. 2) offered.
