Product Description
Are you looking for meaningful ways to have your students use technology as part of your American Revolution Unit? The animated battle maps website is a super engaging way to introduce your students to the "shots heard 'round the world" at the battles of Lexington and Concord. Check out the animated map by clicking this link Animated Maps: Battles of Lexington & Concord

I've written 25 questions for students to answer as they watch the events unfold on the animated map. The map goes through the events that occurred from the morning of April 18, 1775 to April 20, 1775 when the Patriots besieged Boston, including:

General Gage's planning of the raid on Concord
The midnight ride of Paul Revere, William Dawes, Samuel Prescott and 40 others
Battle of Lexington
Battle of Concord
British retreat back to Boston
Deaths, casualties and MIA statistics for both sides
Aftermath
Battle Statistics

The PDF includes

2-page handout for students with 25 questions
2-page Answer Key

My students LOVE learning from the animated maps and I'm sure yours will too!
