The first part of this package includes before, during and after activities for “The Crisis,” “Speech to the Virginia Convention,” and The Declaration of Independence. Theses lessons include guided reading sheets and printables. These are easier lessons designed for struggling learners. They can also be used to establish prior knowledge for a more in-depth analysis of the documents. There are a variety of activities from fill in the blank sheets, matching items, interviews, cartoons, essays, and analysis paragraphs.
The last part of the package includes a JIGSAW activity for students to analyze early American documents. This lesson is aligned with the Core Curriculum. Thanks for your interest.
