Review game to ace my American Revolution (or Revolutionary War) test! PowerPoint game of Jeopardy (see directions below) and a form for them to fill out as we go. I do not grade these but I tell them I will randomly select 3-4 people at the end of class and if their worksheet is complete they get to choose a candy (EVERYONE does their worksheet along with us). Here's how I play:
-Hand out Jeopardy Boards to students
-Open up PowerPoint and select "Play from Start"
-Break up the class into groups (I automatically have each row be a team or you can do 1/2 the class, etc.)
-I draw a Popsicle stick with the students name (you can randomly choose a student however you want) and that student gets to choose the category.
-I read the question, give EVERYONE about 5-6 seconds to write down what they think the answer is, and then the person who choose the question gets to give their answer. Click space or "next" on a clicker or keyboard to reveal the answer.
-If they are incorrect, their team can help them but if no one on the team knows then I draw another stick.
-Click the "Arrow" symbol to return to the main game board for the next student to choose.
If you have any questions PLEASE let me know!
