American Revolution Journaling Scrapbook – Novel Study – Students will love this fun and interactive project. Scrapbooks are a fun and creative alternative to your “standard book report” and are an excellent method for students to showcase their learning while meeting common core standards.

After choosing a Revolutionary War novel, students will read and discover the struggles colonists faced in the years leading up to and during the American Revolution.

Students will create a scrapbook entry in their own journals after each chapter that represents the information they learned and shows their understanding of the novel. Periodically, students will be asked to share their journal entries with their classmates and/or turn them into the teacher to be reviewed. This project will require students to be prepared to explain their thinking about how and why they chose to create the entries they did and what information they decided to include for each chapter.

This pack includes a teacher’s guide, student samples, student directions with step-by-step instructions, ideas for journal entries, as well as scoring rubrics.

Included in this interactive pack is
• Guide for Teachers
• Student Samples
• Scrapbooking Novel Study Packet
• Scoring Rubric

Learners will love creating this hands-on and engaging scrapbook novel project.
