A fun, engaging, multidisciplinary American Revolutionary unit. This unit coincides with the TCI Social Studies Alive text book, but can be easily adapted to follow any text on the American Revolution (including self-directed study). Its purpose is to offer choice to students to complete performance tasks and projects to learn and demonstrate their learning about different aspects of the American Revolution including: events leading up to the war, prominent people involved, battles and strategies of both sides, and outcomes. Students will be able to show their creative side through the use of drama, song, artwork, writing, speaking, technology, etc.... This unit also suggests videos available on both You Tube and Discovery Education-United Streaming to use as resources. Included are also graphic organizers that you will need for each lesson and rubrics.
