Product Description
I use this PowerPoint before or after a unit on the American Revolution. It could also be used for the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. My goal is to connect the American Revolution with modern day revolutions. Most of the content has to do with The Peaceful Revolution and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Many of the slides and pictures focus on the East German Stasi and their spying program. Other topics touched upon include Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and nonviolent revolution. The PowerPoint is interactive and visual as students are asked to answer questions about many of the photographs. I would suggest having students write these answers down or discuss them with a partner as the presentation progresses.
