This resource is a review game for the American Revolution. It consists of questions and answers. The answers transition onto the slide after giving students a chance to answer the question. I use this as either trashketball or the bluff game.
Trashketball is when the class is broken up into teams (I usually do two.) They take turns answering questions. If they are correct they get to shoot a ball into a trashcan. If they make it, then they receive a certain number of points. If they miss, then I give them half the points.
For the Bluff game, I break the class into 2 groups and then have them stand up if they know the question. I will call on someone and give them a chance to answer. If they answer correctly, they get a point for each team member standing, if incorrect, then they receive no points. The Bluff game is meant to be silent, students must not talk. I sometimes offer a Final Jeopardy question. This is when the game is near the end and they can wager points.
