Product Description
Engage students and reinforce questioning skills as well as expanding expression and descriptions as they review people and events of the American Revolution. This game can provide a fast formative and summative assessments in just a few minutes and students are having fun! Students don’t even know they are being assessed! My Speech Pathologist uses this card game in my regular Fourth Grade classroom to work with those students who are still struggling with phonics and word retrieval skills. She also uses them to work on expressive and receptive language skills in the areas of: asking/answering WH questions, basic concepts, categories and pragmatic language skills.
I used the Famous People Posters on a bulletin board in my room and I placed the information cards on that board as well so students could read the cards when they had time to review topics. I also had sets of these cards with the game as a reference, so my struggling students could find information to use to ask questions once they narrowed down the topic.
This bundle includes:
*66 American Revolution Themed Cards – plus 2 blank cards to add your own topics
*64 Informational cards about people and events
*26 Famous People Posters
*Question cards for students who are doing the guessing
*Idea card for expanding expression and descriptions
