Your students have been hired to make trading cards featuring important people of the American Revolutionary War!
With this Revolutionary War Trading Card Project your students will either research one important person and make multiple cards to trade with other students (so each student ends up with at least one of each person), or you can have each student make a card for each important person.
I have included TWO
different information sheets for students. One has a listing of eight important people from the American Revolution. These include: King George III, General George Washington, General Charles Cornwallis, Patrick Henry, Sam Adams, Marquis de Lafayette, Crispus Attucks, and Mary Ludwig Hayes.
The other option included is a sheet that allows YOU
to choose and fill in the names of the important people you study and the total number of cards they will create! This gives you flexibility to use the project no matter which important people you study!
Included in this project:
♦Student Information sheet with the 8 people listed above
♦2nd version of Student Information sheet where you fill in the names
♦back of student information sheet with rubrics for self-assessment
♦teacher grading rubrics for each child
♦ two templates in case you want students to use a specific structure (templates are not necessary, students can be very creative!)
There are two rubrics included in this project: ELA and Social Studies.
All of my students have really enjoyed the trading card projects and I hope yours do too!
