American Revolution: Students will identify and explain the strengths and weaknesses of the Continental Army and the British Army. Students will do this by matching pictures with historical facts and categorizing it in either Continental Army or British. Then they will analyze each one and figure out if its a weakness or strength and how. You can group kids in 2-4 students. Each group will need a cut out of each picture and historical facts. AW stands for American Weakness, AS for American Strength, BS for British Strength, and BW for Britain Weakness. Do not include that with the slips for the students. Students will then take a look at troubles faced by Washington and how he planned on solving it by watching a liberty Kids episode with the youtube link and students will complete a QuickWrite. Finally students will use the Picture of Washington crossing the Delaware and a word bank to add dialogue and complete a Freeze Frame cartoon.
