The Boston Tea Party -- Washington Crossing the Delaware -- The Winter at Valley Forge - these were the iconic moments at the start the American Revolution. These were the early turning points that insured Americans would fight on till victory. In this unit you will find three separate slide shows with detailed accompanying scripts. In total, I have provided you with 40 slides and 17 pages of notes. Throughout the slide shows there are a total of eight questions, asking students to describe something about each of these iconic moments. A PDF of the worksheet with these questions is included so students can answer them as you pause the slide shows. The slideshows are appropriate for any grade that studies American history, because the teacher can go into as much detail as she or he considers suitable for the age group.
