This resource is a wonderful idea to use with your students throughout a novel fiction/nonfiction study. This one goes with the Magic Tree House Revolutionary War by Mary Pope Osborne and Natalie Pope Boyce.
This resource includes:
1. Cover Page (Color and Black and White)
2. Vocabulary Pages (Color and Black and White)
Print out as many vocabulary pages as you think you may use. Staple them together and attach the cover page.
Students love to learn new words when they are responsible for being in charge of their words.
Each vocabulary page is meant to serve two words. Students write their new vocabulary on top, write their definition, come up with a Ka-Pow word (synonym), draw a picture of their words, and write a sentence to describe their pictures using their new words. Bilingual and ELL students can write the meaning of each word in their native language.
