This is a great primary source reading with document based questions on the legality of what the king is doing at the time of the American Revolution.
Using documents in my classroom helps my students realize that history is more than just a textbook.
When using activities like this, I have my students partnered up. They will read aloud to each other and together they must answer all of the questions. They must also use the technique of "Bag and Tag." This is where they underline their evidence from the reading and put the number of the question it applies to. Helps them to learn to back up their answers using the sources given.
