Why QR CODES?
These task cards will help your students work independently using digital resources.
You want your students to have more practice with sight words, more hands on time learning and working with the words. You teach the sight words, you work with the students reading the sight words. Its time for them to have independent practice with the words. You send them off to independent centers or give them homework. You meet with them later and ask what they have been working on. THEY CAN’T REMEMBER THE WORD.
In working with deaf and hard of hearing students this has been one of my biggest frustrations. Knowledge of sight words is a required skill for reading success yet many deaf students’ exposure to the words are limited. Students NEED time to practice and work with the words. They need to SEE the words, not only in print but visually.
