This American symbols research project has your students scan QR codes to research an American symbol of their choice. The following American symbols are included: American flag, Statue of Liberty, bald eagle, Liberty Bell, and White House. They will use their device to scan QR codes (there are 5 QR codes for each American symbol) and watch and listen to videos made with Safe Share, to ensure appropriate content with zero advertisements. Included are pre-planning recording sheets where students will record the facts they hear in the videos. Then they will use their notes to write their research booklets. Directions are also included to help you make QR codes of each child reading their book. Then you can put the QR code on the front cover of each child's book for others to scan and hear them reading their book! Great to share with parents at Open House and conferences!
This product is made for students in kindergarten through second. Differentiation is included to meet the needs in your classroom. This project is a great addition to any American history unit!
