For 4 years, the United States experienced a war unlike any American had ever experienced before. Whether it be politicians, African-Americans, women, or soldiers; No one person would be left unchanged by the Civil War. In this investigation, students find out about how the Civil War impacted the lives of Americans through guided research and then create an "authentic" post cards, written by individuals who experienced the American Civil War. Afterwards they will write a reflection on how Americans were impacted by the Civil War.
