These questions will assess your students' understanding of the story, "America's Champion Swimmer: Gertrude Ederle," by assessing whether or not your students can distinguish between fact and opinion that is found within the story. Some of the questions are basic comprehension and text evidence questions. Some questions are in multiple choice format, short answers, and one has a small written response. The page numbers that accompany each question match up with Tennessee's version of Scott Foresman Reading Street, but the questions will match any version of the story. The questions are divided up into 3 days so you can teach the story over a three day period. This can be edited to teach the story in only two days if you desire.
