PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

What made designing this packet especially fun, was all of the super-cute clip art I've been collecting. The letters actually match Eric Carle's book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

To celebrate spring, I’ve knocked a dollar off this packet for a limited time.

The packet includes:

* A “trace & write” the upper & lowercase letters caterpillar craftivity for students.
Completed projects make a sweet spring bulletin board.
I've included a poster for the center of your display.

This is a super-fun activity even if your students are now familiar with the alphabet.
I find that just because I taught/practiced things at the beginning of the year, doesn’t mean everyone has retained everything, so it’s nice to review.

* There are 4 head options, plus 6 butterfly patterns, should you want to attach one to the end of your caterpillar. (I made my butterfly 3D, by gluing the thorax of the top butterfly to the thorax of the bottom one.)

* There are upper and lowercase (12-on-a-page) letter cards, along with picture cards of objects that begin with that letter, as well as the matching word cards, so children can play a variety of "Memory Match” and "I Have; Who Has?" games; or put the cards in an alphabet center for children to sequence.

* There’s a 4-page tip list of ideas for the cards, including the "Kaboom" game, along with a vowel & consonant sorting mat.

* I’ve also included (2-on-a-page) alphabet posters, with a graphic that sits on the caterpillar's tail end, and starts with that letter.
Use these 5x7 cards as anchor charts, flashcards, or a spring border.

* For a colorful display, there’s a matching uppercase, as well as lowercase caterpillar craftivity, that teachers can make.
Use an extra caterpillar, where the “body segment circles” are not glued together, for a puzzle center.

* Finally, I've included an upper, plus lowercase bookmark-worksheet. Students fill in the circles with the rest of the letters.
This can be used as a quick, easy & fun assessment tool.

I’m Diane from Teach With Me, wishing you a wonderful spring, as your little caterpillars blossom into butterflies, fluttering into the next grade.
