I love creating our season poems with our kiddos. They always surprise me with their ideas when we do this writing activity.

*A guide for each letter in the word ‘autumn’ that you could use to help your kiddos generate what autumn is to them.
I’ve used these is a few different ways throughout the last school year. You can print the pages and have a few sets in front of the kiddos, which I usually do in small groups. I have also done our poem in a whole class setting and project the pages right onto my whiteboard with our class projector. If your kiddos are more independent, this might be easier and quicker for your class. I find that I usually have to do the Autumn and Winter poems in small groups because some of students still need a lot of support with their writing skills.
*5 different pages that can be colored in and added to the poem (we usually glue the student poem page to a full length (12X18) construction paper and then glue two or three of their coloring to the construction page. It’s amazing how different each one turns out!
*2 different options of the student poem printable that the kiddos can fill out that goes with the word ‘Autumn’.
*Please follow me on TPT or Teacher Notebook to find more activities to use in your classroom.
*If you see any mistakes or boo-boos on my part, please let me know and I’ll be glad to change it.
*All graphics, fonts, and borders are credited on the last page and include links to the amazing shops!
