PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This project is ideal for a high school sociology class. It can also be modified for a culture unit in a history or introduction to social studies course as well. This social experiment forces students to really consider what guides their behavior and the values of American culture. Attached in this file is really two projects. Students will have a choice (differentiation) on whether to participate in an act of positive deviance (an extraordinarily honorable act) or break a folkway or norm (do something rude or unusual). Rubrics are attached for both assignments and require students to submit both a video of their experiment and a short, written reflection.
