PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

From Drama Dreams and English Themes, this student-centered research based lesson encourages students to examine a variety of print and non-print texts to make connections between the novel "Night" and the modern world. This 23 page lesson includes teacher directions, a group direction worksheet, an individual worksheet, many pages of source material, student help tickets, and a bonus research homework assignment. The six research questions provide plenty of opportunity for research and debate and require students to cite evidence to prove their theories. The lesson should take approximately one 90 minute period and is common core aligned. While the activity was designed for Elie Wiesel's novel "Night," it could easily be adapted to other Holocaust novels or to historical units.
