This handout was created to go with a lesson plan on the experiment with the senses.
On the first page, students can write down what they hear, feel, and then finally see. This is intended to be done in the order listed. For example, give students a bag of coins/rice/cotton balls, etc. First shake the bag to hear, feel inside without looking to touch, and then look at it to see what it is. On this first page they can see if they were able to hear or feel what the object actually was.
On the second page, each column has two columns within it so students can predict what it is that they smell and/or taste and then record what the actual thing was that they smelled or tasted.
This resource was created particularly for beginner and intermediate 5th grade English Language Learners to accompany an experimental hands-on lesson with aspects similar to what is listed above. It was created to have 3 items to hear/feel/see, 3 items to smell, and 5 items to taste.
