I give students two weeks to work on their projects and then present to the class. Students get both a project grade and an oral presentation grade.

They're ask to provide a brief biography for the author, discuss characters (primary and secondary), setting, time, primary and secondary themes, conflict and resolution,connections made to history and culture. This lesson teaches them skills that they can use in college when taking literature courses in either language; Spanish or English.

Appropriate level would be heritage/native speakers, Spanish 4 or AP.
