Students will complete analogies by identifying the missing word. When given the first half of an analogy, students will generate the second half of an analogy.
Are you looking for a PowerPoint that will introduce your students to various analogies? If so, this highly interactive 46-slide PowerPoint may be exactly what you are looking for! It is fully animated. Answers do not appear on the screen until the teacher clicks the mouse.
It begins with an introduction to analogies and "tutorial" of how to complete an analogy. Then, it contains 34 practice slides! On 16 of the practice slides, the final word of the analogy is missing, and students must determine which word best fits in the blank. On the other 18 practice slides, a multiple choice format is presented. The first half of the analogy is provided, and students must determine which of the four answer choices best completes the analogy.
It also contains a 4-page PowerPoint companion handout. Students write on the handout, recording their answers, as you advance through the PowerPoint.
Check out the preview! (But remember, the preview is in a PDF format, and the product is truly an interactive PowerPoint with full animation.)
