KNOWLEDGE:
Students learn that Victor Vasarely is a Hungarian French artist whose work is generally seen aligned with Op Art (optical illustion art) This will be done by listening to the teacher read a short summary about Victor Vasarely. The students will be listening for what kind of artist he is, where he is from, and what Op Art is. (Summary located after image #3 in the back) Students will also learn what analogous colors are and how they can identify them on the color wheel.

SKILL:
The students learn how to create a non-objective op art inspired creation, using markers. They will also be able to identify optical illustion art and distinguish the difference between horizontal and vertical lines.
